to give you a short update about citrus at the northern border (53°27´49 36" N / 9°51´12 74" E) pls. find some recently taken fotos below
First the Swingle Citumelo unfortunately are the fruits hided behind the leaves...
Hybrid US 852 - Poncirus X Changsha Mandarin approx. 150 fruits !!!

regarding the taste of these selected Poncirus hybrids I frankly have to say non of them is really tasty or edible. May be the Swingle juice can be used as Lemon replacement or for mamelade. The others are dominated by this bitter poncirus taste and ripening of these is to late. May be the Ichangensis hybrid will do better, however they are not hardy enough.
